The electric industry is experiencing rapid evolution. Managing this change will be our biggest challenge; however, change will also bring new opportunities. In the coming years, we will continue to train employees to be effective team players and problem solvers. Employees will meet members' needs through team involvement and decision making.
We will continue with our belief that to be responsive to our members and to best understand their needs, we must be closely involved in their communities. The effects of environmental and economic developments on a community are fundamental to the philosophy that Rutherford EMC is establishing for the future.
Rutherford EMC believes that a major way to stay closely in touch with a community is to actively support its youth. Therefore, we will continue to support the Bright IdeasSM Grant Program and the Youth Tour Program. Also, we will work with school systems to perform safety demonstrations and to distribute electrical safety information.
Rutherford EMC's number one priority in the future will be to continue to provide its members with convenient, ease-of-use, reliable and efficient electrical service. We will continue to take action to improve operating flexibility. We will succeed in the future because we will put our members first. We will continue to enhance and expand our services to our members. Our future success will depend on our ability to reduce costs; provide quality service to our members; and to recognize and develop new services to move into the immediate future and beyond.
